What is a Good Life?

The main aspects

We believe that a good life has several aspects. Among the main ones we can find:

Joy

Joy, enjoyment, pleasure, playfulness, happiness, peace – these are the hallmarks of a high level of emotional wellbeing.

There are so many good things in our daily lives that we can feel appreciation and be thankful for. We can be thankful for the help that we receive from others. We can be thankful and loving towards ourselves. We can practice the skills of creating the intention to bring appreciation and enjoyment into our actions.

Love

Giving and receiving love in relationships with other people – family, friends, colleagues, neighbors, even strangers. Learning to nurture love towards ourselves.

Development

Developing and improving ourselves to live a life of virtue and excellence by gradually implementing the Good Qualities in ourselves and in the world. Developing our skills and unique talents so we can give our unique presents to the world. We challenge and help each other to be the best version of ourselves so that we can create the reality we want.

Generosity

Having a purpose to help others create a good life for themselves. Contributing to the local and global community through kindness, generosity, and collaboration, so that together we can create a Heaven on Earth.

Handling painful experiences

How can we talk about the Good Life when no life is free from at least some amount of pain, sorrow, and suffering, and all to often a great deal of that? Despite this fact of life, there is a lot that we can do to help ourselves and others to reduce suffering and increase happiness. We are not alone, and can receive a great deal of assistance from others.

We can say that this is possible if we follow the Good Path. What is the Good Path? This question is an ongoing investigation. While each person’s path is unique, much wisdom has already accumulated over centuries about this question, and we are dedicated to document it and translate it into practical daily terms for the benefit of all.
